And some states will begin immigration enforcement on their own, and some won't. And you'll see stark cultural differences between the varying states. But like you wrote, it is becoming unsustainable to have a federal government struggling to hold together the conflicting, partisan states. I think eventually Americans will have to accept the states are becoming antagonistic toward each other, which isn't ideal, but can be peacefully managed with original 13 colonies-type federalism?
Perfectly stated. Total conundrum. As an example, California 30 years ago was well managed. The current mismanagement is a political choice by the Left. Life in an American shape isn’t possible with the Left. We can carve Dem states out or reimpose McCarthyism and kick Communists out. Whichever way we go, that’s precisely what the CCP aimed at: civil war within America.

I think you're going see more cases like Florida, Texas, and Minnesota.. where deeply red and deeply blue states will start taking immigration issues into their own hands. For better and worse. If red states start enacting state-level, self-defensive policies on illegal immigration, then the blue states will be forced to deal more directly with their lawless policies. Busing illegal immigrants to blue states was an important states rights development.

I get your point. But it's becoming more and more clear that the federal government won't do its job on border security and immigration enforcement. We have a Trump administration that is currently securing the border, but we no longer have federal consistency on this issue. The border could very easily be opened up again in the near future by a different presidential admin. This reality is why I believe immigration enforcement will incrementally fall to the states. And what you lay out is correct. Large illegal immigrant populations will/do give blue states some unfair power in national affairs. But moving illegal immigrants out of red states is becoming the best (of bad, but practical) possible options moving forward.
